Hello all,
I am new to this forum and appreciate anybody's help for my problem. That problem would be the "INT HDD ERROR" reading in my screen. I acidentally plugged the wrong power supply in it and POW, there it went. I do not care about anything that was on the drive. I just want it to work again. I lost my recovery disk probably two moves ago, and I can't get Zoom to respond. Is there anybody out there that has a recovery disk that they can provide; either in zip form or email form or maybe even in a way that I can pick it up in "Dropbox" (if the file is too large). I am soooo frustrated. I can't seem to get any answers from Zoom or the USA rep on this subject. If anybody has any other thoughts on this, I would greatly appreate it. Take care.
Kind Regards,
Alan

Hi Gazoo!

Welcome to Zoom Forum! ;)

You might be able to find answers here:
http://www.zoom.co.jp/downloads/mrs802/software/
If you have access to a CD burner on your PC you could probably burn your own recovery disc from these files. Also, if your 802 has the USB card installed you could DL the USB version of the operating system (2.01) to your PC and transfer the recovery files directly from your PC to your 802.
Good luck and I hope this works 4 U.

:D

John,
I must be the stupidest man alive, because I downloaded the zip file from Zoom (version 2.01) extracted it and burned it to a cd per the exact instructions on the "readme" file, and I still cannot get anything other than the dreaded "INT HDD ERROR". Is there something I'm missing?

Hi Gazoo,
The files on the zoom site look like they're just system updates to me, not the full set of of recovery or system tools.
Try contacting zoom again, they've been known to respond. Several members have been successful with getting a recovery CD from them for the older MRS units.
