Good stuff, ami. :) Recording sounds great. I hear some static at the start and finish; like its from an LP. Neat effect, but it's mixed in too loud. Could be my ears. :)

That lick you do around the 2:52 mark is a beauty. You have a really cool technique for pull-offs.

Bravo.
Thanks!
Matty

Great playing as usual. Recording and mix sound really good to me as well. This could be on just about any pro commercial or movie. Is that static intentional? Anyway, no nits from me.

I better post review before this gets deleted! ;) Definitely flamenco, beautiful piece, Guy. This stuff seems to come to you so naturally. I can't imagine you spend much time putting it together. You are a natural. That's a nice major key change in the ending, harmonic bliss.
I still wanna know what happened to your contest entry though.

Me too I want to review this before Guy pushes the delete button... Too late on the switch Guy.
But you would only delete it if you had a bad review or 2, I felt the same, worse is when someone tells you nothing about the song but just review saying Good job or bad job.
This was great Mexican guitar! Good recording. Bla bla bla bla, better say Good Job.

Whatever can one say but fabulous. If I could play like that...well I guess I'd be you. That static, that could fool somebody. :applause:  :applause:

1 /Really? If I could find something like the old "Dolby C" ,do you remember this on the old high end cassette decks?
The noise reduction from Mixcraft 5 is really not usable.
2/ Oh yes, I wanted to sound like a old vinyl.

No, I won't delete it;
Why? Because I didn't listen to it this morning when I woke up. That's what I do
most of the time and It's a big mistake.

Could be better, my father was spanish.

To be honest, my wife watched the video and found it ridiculous.I know she is right.

Thanks a lot Lou & Gary. ;)

Well, we all found it excellent, and I'm more inclined to go w/the forum members opinions than our wives. But I don't know your wife, she might be a Segovia prodigy! :guitar:

Guy, it seems like I'm always listening to your songs on calm Sunday mornings over coffee.

This is cool. You plugged in your guitar, correct? It sure sounds that way. I like it; it's serene.

TAIL..........
Gives me the impression that a lone gunfighter is riding across the plains, about to do battle with the bad guys in the town he's heading for........As mentioned, you very well could do soundtracks for movies Guy, really talented.....Very nice playing as usual, & the mix is spot on.....5 stars!!!!!

Top of the line. I believe the Sun mentioned movie soundtrack type sound and I agree. This would work well in a movie. You could investigate that avenue for your music. There are plenty of directors looking for good, fresh, original music.

Good one. :^:

A lovely tone and splendid playing. Sounds very Gypsy Kings to me (although I think they were from the Camargue rather than Spain!)

Excellent work Guy :)

Cheers

Dick

I was expecting something much more aggressive. I’ve only been to a flamenco concert once and it didn’t do it for me, I still have visions of those costumes and people stamping wildly their feet

Yes, a quiet Sunday morning flavour it has.

I was about comment on the static but can see you used it intentionally. I once used a crackling effect from a gramophone needle at the beginning and ending of a song. It could maybe to be more obvious here. As is, it’s discreet and maybe needs to sound more like the needle on an old record?

Whatever, very nicely done.

Bravo

Pete

Thanks Dick.
Spendid, I'm not sure.If God was spanish he would help me to play a fast and real flamenc.

Pete: agressive? No, I'm not able to do that , I am a poet. :D
