Hi Mat, it's good to have some new blood on-board....Kudos to you for taking the time to listen to other peoples music as well as posting your own
I really like this but the vocals sound too far in the background IMHO.....the guitars really rock, they sound great!
The drums are ok but when you can you should invest in something like EZdrummer (or Superior drummer if you have the extra cash!)
Great song, i listened twice in a row and really enjoyed it

Man! I have a hard time knowing where the vocal level should be. Thanks for yer ear; I'll give it the once over.

Drums are the bane of my existence. I bought an Alesis DM7(tanks

) to learn about a year back. Did NOT enjoy playing electric drums... or playing drums period. I'm an OK punky/pop drummer, but I gots no groove. Sold those turkeys!
Gonna try again though. I have my ZOOM now, decent mics, and my Housemate bought a real drum kit. He's learning(quite quickly!), and I'm realizing those electrics were hard to 'learn' on(for me). I didn't like the sound or feel AT ALL.

When I don't like something, my learning ability becomes very poor. I'm a caveman.

I feel better playing the real drums, they sound better, and I'm convincing myself to be a simple drummer with good groove. I think when I bought the DM7, I expected to be Neil Peart overnight.
So, long post longer, I'm going to try real drums soon. I'll write & arrange with the ZOOMs drums for now, but I'll look at all options when I move into DAW. My goal though, is that real pound sound.

Thanks!
Matty
