Hi all
A new soporific just for you.

Recorded with my last toy, a classical guitar I bought last week.
Made in portugal by Antonio Pinto Carvalho, that cheap guitar (laminated /price range $250) is fantastic.

Left channel : yeti mic
Right channel: preamp => jack=> tascam
Middle(stereo) yeti/delay+reverb
Final mix on Mixcraft V2.

Thanks for listening. ;)

EDIT : There's no review about this guitar over the net.
So I did a video.

Lovely little piece Guy.

Is this a combination of line in and mic recording tracks? Of did I misunderstand you?

There’s a warmth in the tone.

Nice.

Pete

Very pretty and tastefully done. The ever-so-slight use of delay is the icing on the cake.
Great blood pressure lower-er. I'm always in awe of your talent, Monsieur D! ;)

:D

Super clean tone that's really easy on the ears. Nice crisp mp3 as well. I didn't notice... was that standard 128 or higher?
Very well played too (as usual).

Guy, you get the best acoustic guitar tone of anyone here. Add that to the fact that you can play very well, and it's a winner every time. Nice looking guitar, too.

Nice to hear you again. This one reminds me of "Le Clown Triste" a bit. Cool how you recorded it direct and w/a mic. I always wanted to try that. Seems like a lot of work but sounds like it's worth it. That is a beautiful stereo spread and tone you've achieved, not to mention the perfect playing. :guitar: :applause:

Play guitar much? This is a very sweet sound you've produced. It sounded like you were playing right in my house. Nice recording.

Nice to hear some guitar from you Guy!

In quebec we use to cheer for Guy Lafleur who was everyone's favorite by yelling his name in the arena...

Guy! Guy! Guy!

And of course we :applause:

Very pleasant listen here. Sounds good and no low end rumbles either.
So you have how many Classical gtr's now? Is this all laminate or just the back/sides. It sounds good whatever it is.
Anyway, very good playing as usual.

Hi Guy...a beautiful piece..well written and played....it must be quiet where you recorded, because I swear that was 'so in your face', it felt like my ear was six inches away from the sound-hole!

That was a $250 guitar? F***** AMAZING!....I guess the player has a lot to do with it...congrats...ssbob

Wonderful! What was the inspiration for this one?

This is so well arranged, and the recording itself is pristine.

Great performance and recording, Guy, as always, but more than anything here we have an outstanding composition.
Well, well, well written.

Lovely work Guy.

You have a fine, light touch and a real musicality to your playing.

Impressive :)

Cheers

Actually , three.
My old Giannini, the travel escape, and this Carvalho.
The guitar I mentioned a few weeks ago (check your thread about musical things from Santa) is finally not very playable.
I'm afraid I won't be able to lower the action this time.....

You're quite welcome. Yes, very busy & excited. Moving day is this Saturday, but I just had to take a break yesterday.

That pic of the warped guitar neck brought me to tears! Horrible!

That's what they call "great for slide." Looks like the dovetail joint collapsed. If you're good at neck resets, you could fix that. That's kind of like saying if you're good at spinal surgery, you could fix my back. Might be easier than a regular neck reset, though, since it's already coming apart.
