I've put up the command line tool I wrote for converting PS-02/PS-04 .AUD files and MRS-8 .ZAF files to .WAV files. It works on either a single input file or a pair to produce either a mono or stereo .wav file. I recently was converting a bunch of files and noticed the 'click and pop' problem in some of the output wav files so I fixed that too. It would probably be trivial for someone to write a GUI front end for this, or if anyone is interested in the source, I can make that available.

I can see why you might prefer a cmd line tool over the Zoom Card Manager, but why give it a gui when the Card Manager is available already?

Yep, I agree. But maybe someone wants to convert all the tracks of a project at once, or all the tracks on their whole card at once I dunno. I had a bunch of old PS-02 and MRS-8 card backups laying around on my hard disk and wanted to hear the tracks so with the command line tool I can just convert em all with one command line. Someone was asking about a batch converter and I thought this might be helpful :)

MelodySpam? ;-)

I do wish the librarian (in my case, on Mac)
Was easier to use, and categorize these tracks

I've got a ton of archived mrs tracks but it takes a long time to fi d the right one

Also, they then have to be returned to the unit to record with the drums

So, there is no way to have it just directly record in .wav format?

What kind of damage does .zaF compression do to the audio?
It is a "lossy compression scheme" right?
I have just noticed a certain flatness in the sound

Though it's more fun to record on mrs8 than a laptop any day!
And it's always ready
