I found a procedure that walks you through step-by-step in creating songs using the Zoom patterns. I will try to attach it to the private message you sent to me or you can try to search on this forum since that is where I found it. I just copied and pasted it into a PDF.

The original posting for this had this header:

"Posted: Fri Sep 10, 2004 9:45 am Post subject: PS-04 12 Bar Blues Cleaned Up a Bit (Thanks Jaime for orig)"

You could probably serach on the subject.

Darth,

Welcome to the forum. Enjoyed your Star Wars films.

Now on to the question.

I asked this same question when I first bought my PS-04. The 12-bar blues thing was the only response I remember. On this page:

there is a link to this page:

There is no need to be a drummer to create PS04 songs.

PS04 songs are a chains of existing PS04 patterns - no need to deal with single drum sounds.

If you like to change single drum notes than you need to create your own patterns.

Both (song and pattern creating) is possible with the PS04 itself but much easier with an PC editor.

If you like to create your own patterns - then you need to either to learn a lot about drumming or use the editor and convert existing Midi patterns into PS04 patterns.

These Midi files can be found all over the www.

Armin didn't blow his own horn but I will.

He has made some good programs for editing songs and patterns on the computer, and his programs are recommended by Zoom.
