just having some fun... one of these days I will replace the midi brass section.
Talk to Me and before any one says it, yeah I probably post a version of this before. I used to perform this one with severla bands, but never had a section, so obviously I couldn't play the section while singing...lol now THAT would have been quite a feat.

But I got it to play on Facebook.

I think all the performances are good, but the mix is sort of, I dunno, tame? Vocal, bass & drums are coming through, but everything else is sort of subdued. I'd start playing with levels, EQ and pan if I were mixing. Is there any guitar in there?

It plays ok for me in Windows Media Player. Is this one of your songs?

Your vocal reminds of the singer in The Mavericks...............everything sounds great, even the "Aw, the heck with it." For just messing around, you did a really nice job getting that brass section to sit in there just right---at least to my ears.....Personally, I wouldn't start with the drum bit......this is good!!

it's a Bruce Springsteen song, made famous by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. A fan in GB created the midi and shared it with me years ago and long with a couple others. So it's all midi except for the vocals and teh sax solo. Not sure when I will get to mess with it again, that's just how my life goes... many irons, one fire.
:D

don't know why it's not playing for some of you, but you can right click and save as and listen locally. my website is whacked because I updated, and for some reason my host allowed it...to an incompatible version of Wordpress, I have been rolling back the installs but now it seems to be a problem with a plug in... so I might have to do major surgery.

I would like to upgrade my hosting plan, but that means backing up and rebuilding 6 or 7 websites and well, I don't really look forward to that.

Good job Bill. After I listened to the chorus I was like, "this is the best song Bill ever wrote!" :applause:
Then I reread your post and discovered its a Springsteen cover!

Being from Jersey and all I should have probably known that but... yeah.
Good job nonetheless.

I didn't listen cause the tread title doesn't tell me if it's an original or anything else.

Then I did listen cause nothing better to do at the moment!
Didn't regret it!

You have a good plan, this is good Alice Cooper rock bar band good stuff!

It's been a while since I heard you sing anything. This is one of your best vocal deliveries IMHO.
The sax solo is also exceptionally good here, sonically. One of the newer mouthpieces?
Nice double tonguing there too.

thanks John. been in a singing mood lately..lol a friend gave me two Berg Larsen mpcs... one Stainless the other Hard Rubber. Smaller tips than I usually play, but they feel great. Not sure if this was the SS or HR.... but IIRC it was the Stainless, the HR is actually a bit louder.

The mix is off on this, I have worked on it a bit, panning some of the instruments and bringing up the guitar, which is only a plunk plunk anyway. I have to learn the section parts so I can augment them with live sax.

Been working on some tracks to maybe hit some open mics.
