Hi gals and guys. Been a long time, I have been off in to the world of photography, trying to learn enough to start doing portraits and such. First song i have written in a long time. Don't know if it's any good or not, it's been so long I don't have any perspective any more.

Hope all you wonderful folks are doing great and hope your families are great.

Sounds alright, but not among your best. The beginning is a little out of time, as are the guitars on the stops, but you could fix that up. Glad you stopped doing that one-thread thing, I couldn't deal with that.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I noticed the guitar came in a little late on the timing. I know how it happened. I used EZ drummer and when I dragged the first midi loop to the drum track t started it right at the song start and left myself no intro guide, duh, that was dumb. So then I had to watch with my bad eyes and try to see the start and time it right.

Yeah Fish, I got the bug and happened upon two DSLR Cannon bodies, 450D and 500D, just got a Sigma 17-50 EX OS HSM lens and ordered softbox lights and flashe and radio triggers. I have sold a bunch of music stuff to fund all this, kind of hurts but it was just stuff I wasn't using.

I'm gonna have fun later going through the songs I have missed, I'll get to hear a bunch of new stuff, can't wait. I'll clear a good hour or more to enjoy.

Good to see you guys here.

Good to hear you again

This does seem different from your other stuff.....nice mix, although the acoustic guitar is SO clear that it overwhelms...maybe back it off a bit. I'm sure it would be fine through speakers, but on these SONY headphones, it really stands out.......you're playing Tele, right?.............love the high harmonies = tasty................BRIDGES: I'm going through a phase where I think bridge are being overused  . Yours is nicely done and it fits and all that, but for some reason I'm hearing ALL bridges as things that just HAVE to be in there because they're part of the formula. I wonder what you could do with this if you took the bridge out? I'm not nitting on YOUR bridge---just bridges as a species

I think I would bump up those b/g vocals some and call it a day. Good job on the break in the middle (talkin' drum track/prog'ing here). Perfect length for this toon. Kind of a 'filler' track to mine ears, but a nice one all the same and a pleasant listen when all is...said and done.

Quality work Jeff.

Familiar but very well done. Good performance and solid writing.

I liked the tone on the electric (nice licks as well) and thought the production was pretty smooth.

Cheers

Dick

First thing I thought too. Not a bad comparison. :)

Great playing! Sounds real smooth, except for the breakdown; it kinda stutters. Just my ears though. :)

Nice!
Thanks!
Matty

Appreciate that folks.

One thing I forgot to mention, to get in to the photography thing I sold my Zoom R8, now I feel bad without it, even though I was using the laptop anyway. I at least new I had it. I may save up a little and grab one of the Zoom mrs8 models. I used to have one but got rid of it to get the R8, but that was a great little recorder.

Jeff

Very nice. Very wide and sounds like a stellar performance in my ear buds. I'm extremely impressed by the guitar playing. It's a very wet surrounding sound. I like that. Vocal performance was great as well. Love the b/c vocals. Thumbs up on the harmony. Didn't notice the off timing in the beginning, but I won't go back and look for it. All the pros outweigh the cons, so I'll keep that first impression.

Good job Jeff, nice mix, very nice guitar playing & tones, great smooth vocals on this (as usual).....only nits I have are the timing issues with the start & break part, other than that, sounds really good. I do agree with Sungod about the bg vocals too, might wanna bump 'em up just a little......

Im curious about the electric guitar sounds, are the the di's you've been using in the last few songs?????

As usual, really smooth sounding song, the Eagle comparison is a good one, keep at it Jeff, you're a really talented guy....

Nice feel-good song in that west-coast idiom.

I remember Mick Jagger bemoaning the fact that in the 1980s 'The Eagles were stealing all the action the US’. It was a funny comment, at least the way he said it in his particular accent. This sound became so popular for a few years, it seemed to fade again as it got a little worn. But this is a really nice bit of ‘80s nostalgia pop. Lovely sound on the electric lead.

Bravo

Pete

Nice tune. Catchy. The bass maybe could come up a bit or maybe just more presence? That's a minor thing though.
