Excellent! Nice clean tone and your playing is really good. Apparently you aren't out of practice, even with all that YRG stuff. Seems to be a great midi controller for you, but MIDI guitar has yet to really succeed, especially for nuanced stuff like this. :music: Using the real deal for the lead is a good choice.

Between this one and "Gemini", you're on a roll, man!
Well, Gemini is a cover that I've been playin' for yrs so that went pretty quick. This one, not so much. Thanx for poppin' in during your busy transition, Voke...and for typing on the lappy! :type:

Me too...thanx for the nice compliment, gitguy.

Only crits from me would be that one of the bass guitars (at least it seems like there are two bass guitars) sounds a bit boomy (in headphones) and the syncopation gets a bit tangled in places.
Oh no!! Boomy bass and tangled syncopation, that can't be good! Won't lose sleep over it though. Only one bass track here...who you think I am, miner? Two bass tracks indeed! Thanx for listening and the crits, 2wheeler. :D

Sure is nice to hear from all the regs on this one...even after over three yrs on the forum. Thanx, DL.

Glad you finally decided to pick up your guitar again Marc, I was beginng to wonder
I was also beginning to wonder if it would ever get played again. Thing sure felt heavy! But sure sounded sweet!

the master volume is a little low
I have no clue how to get my recordings even master vol-wise. Curious what the secret is for that.

You still haven't used the multi-out thing with your drums
Def could use some direction for that. I do want to get to it. At least there is a mixer for the drums in EZ that helps to tweak tone.

you're the king of mellow vibes around here!
Well, I'm like the only smooth jazz guy here, besides the occassional mellow piece from gitfan. There's a forum I joined a while back called playjazzguitar.comthat has a TON of amazing jazzers.

Well, the YRG does keep you in practice fretboard wise...just doesn't build callouses.

:agree: Thanx for hitting the follow button an Cloud...cept now I only have like 5 mins left for uploading on a free account! :?

A real pleasure Marc. As already mentioned, this has a real smooth vibe to it. I think it say's a lot that you don't get any.. (no vocal) complaints. This song stands on it's own.
Shame you lost the master! :(

Hi Marc....Wow! Being hooked on the YRG for a few months has done NO harm to your guitar playing buddy! Now this stuff is where I was hoping you would be.....awesome jazz tonings! lovin' the 'George Benson' phrasings....your 'real' 'Gibbo' is making the YRG sound a tad flat in the dynamics dept., that's the only thing stopping me from running out and buying one today(plus the fact that I recently lashed out and bought an Oxygen 25!..)....great to hear you reunited with the 'Gibbo'!.......cheers bro!...sideshow bob

Never get tired of hearing the word smooth! :D Yea, shame about the crash, part of beta testing, kinda worth it for an activation code though. Thanx for droppin' by Studio Smooth, e-g.

Well, as I mentioned in an earlier reply, it keeps your fretting skills sharp, but it does not help your callouses! Also RUINS your keyboarding skills, if you leave them dormant as I've done!

Lovin the comparison...Benson has always been very high on my fan list, even saw him perform live once....I would die for that ES he sports!

There is just no replacing the real thing, guitar wise. But for playing most of the VSTIs you really can't beat the YRG. It is just so useful for keyboards, synths, basses, strings, horns, ect.
Thanx for listening and the nice review, fishman.
