This is very infectious in a quiet sort of way. I think it's played 5 times now. Perfect.

Just shows you don't always need backing and software gizmos to make beautiful music.

Ainsi va la vie indeed.

Pete

Very nice composing and playing. Your masterful technique always amazes me. This recording is a little quiet though. It has beautiful tone but is just a little lacking in vol...curious if this D/I? Sounds it, but I could be wrong. It has really nice spread sonically, highs and lows are very clear. My media player is on repeat and this one is repeating on me...in a good way! :D

Excellent! What feeling you display here. Great sounds and balance to this mix. Makes me want to hit the play button again and again. Thanks Guy! You inspire me!

Nicely done Guy! A french song on top of that!

I like a classical lonely guitar since I like Genesis (Horizons (1972)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhgINuhcVN8
Odd enough, everytime I get to 0:47, 1:19 and 1:45 I expect Barracuda (Heart)

Very nice playing and I really enjoy the sound of the big strings, I was wondering if there was a bass guitar in there. I also like there is no metronome behind, you play it with lots of feel in the tempo. The opening let me see a funeral, Ainsi va la vie

More like this please! :applause:

Very nice, as always, Guy. You get beautiful guitar tone every time, your playing is sensitive and perfectly paced and phrased. I think the master volume could go up a bit, I have my speakers st to 1:00 instead of the usual 12. :applause:

Hi Guy...wow that was fabulous! I especially like the part at 1.00 when there was a bass note played under a part of the melody...so sublime! Great job my friend!.....sideshow bob

Wow............this is beautiful. The moods you create here are fantastic; the chords and the melody line go from melancholy to uplifting to almost ominous in quick succession, which I find startling. This is beyond well done.

You should build on this to make a longer piece. You really should.

Forgot to mention that it was also a great honour to have a song dedicated, in part, to me! And such a lovely one at that.

I agree with you Howard. To say the truth, a "second part" is in my head but I didn't find it on
the neck yet.

This is très magnifique, Guy. I really dig nylon over western acoustic. Such a better feel, and superb tone. Very round & open. Do you mic or go DI?

Good melody - to write an entire tune w/o lyrics, or even the idea of lyrics is really something I've never tried. This one is sublime, and calming, but not without spirit. :)

Super guitar playing. You got chops! :D

Nice.
Thanks!

Matty

Yes, where's Steve? I hope he's not brooding. I did notice a small exchange of views with another member on a recent thread. It got a little tetchy.

We could ask the police to look for him ...

Guy, my apologies for not getting to this before.

Wonderful work :)

I thought initially it sounded like a baroque piece but it gradually moved into a more contemporary genre.

I loved the tone on the guitar and your picking is admirably clean and precise.

A keeper without a doubt!

Cheers

Dick

More often than not, simple is best. This is a good example. The blood pressure was just starting to come down, then...................

........the guitarist went home!

Get the guitar back out and give us some more, man! ;)

:D

I know you don't have time to do 30 minute epics... but these "simple" songs (<2 minutes, just guitar) are SO nice, thanks for sharing!

I bet you didn't have to spend three hours mixing this one either.

Seriously, this is beautiful stuff. It is shorter than I'd like, but I suppose that repeat button in my media player can be put to good use...
