Anotonio.s - Thanks for the comments and listen, I appreciate it.

Guy - Hello Mr. D! It's the excellent plug-ins from Sacsha in Samp that made me sound younger. That's all I can figure. Good to hear from you.

Dickl -Tonyoci sent me that tune a few years back. Pretty Twilight Zone if ya ask me.

P2W - Yeah, don't you remember I used to post some of those scratches? Maybe it's long enough ago you've forgotten. Give yourself the award. I hope I didn't give it away on FB, but who knows. Yes, it was Sir Dennis / Charles Evans the grand pooh-bah of guitar. The guy went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned. Listen close, no repeated phrases ala Gilmour...could have been on any pro album of the past.
Hey, maybe now I'll get a review from ferret. :gosh:

Nah...

Will you let us know who it is playing lead guitar?

Well, bang my gavel.

Did you just change the title of this thread? I thought of Chas first off, because of the style, but initially mentioned some others who I thought were, probably, the more likely suspects. Tim and Chas do have similar styles.

If true, this more than makes up for the solo he left out on his last one. In fact, this might be why there was no solo on his last one?

I will award myself over dinner and have my ego stroked on your behalf, since you have renounced such carnal pleasures.

Pete, this song (With You) is what 'I Know' became. :look:

I like the demo take then. Sometimes demos get more of the original spirit of a song. It was also more direct, straight on with the vocals. But I didn't really connect the two.

Hey, sorry for the delay in getting in my tuppence ha'penny's worth. Thanks Lord Langford of Beachy Head for alerting me to a most unlikely event. What could that be, I hear you cry. Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee? A London Olympics? A black cab in Norwood? Nay! Most improbable of all, an offering from the Sun God himself.

I gestated that lead solo for what seemed like an eternity but realised that the wait would be more than worth it. I had an inkling of what the song would be like but I confess the post production has knocked me sideways. In fact the production, full stop.

Putting my critical head on I can only agree with PDW when he says the first 30 seconds leaves him a bit cold. It did me as well. But what a counterpoint for the main action which pushed all my macca buttons. Big difference with some of the Beatles, though, was that this song had a very moveable chord structure and trying to play lead along to it was a complete bugger. May be why no one was laying claim to it!

Now what is this utter bollocks about this being your last musical contribution in here. In England we'd say something terse and manly and not at all helpful. So I shan't.

So for f*cks sake get a grip!

Thanks for including me in this marvellous song, squire.

Chas x

No, it was equisite Charles. And it was a lovely thing that you kept one of your best for someone else's song.

You're too kind, Pete, but I was referring to myself! :D

As for saving the best for others, it's usually true that you try harder when it's for someone else. And not just anyone else. Mr Pinnickitty himself... :noway:

All the best

Chas

Sungodv post in the new song category!? This is worth the wait Steve. I...like you...can't believe it took, you to mention the Beatle influence. The second those smooth harmonies kicked in, in the chorus that was my instant thought!
Very clean man. There is a lot of tasteful decisions employed in this song. Not the least of which was the decision to use Chas as the lead guitarist. Stellar performance from you both!

I know, I saw a reference to Brit music and The Fabs, I thought "oh well some people just see what they want to see".

Obligatory! My battleship, HMS Back Catalogue (named after Rear Admiral Sir Archibald Back-Catalogue, on the bench at the Battle of the Nile) floats entirely on a sea of alcohol. That's why it is, er seems, so very, very good.
