Hey guys.............checked out all your vids this Sunday morning.

Let me say first that you all look really good, you've done yourselves proud.

Guy...........your ending was a doozy, took me by surprise and made me laugh........cool.

Henky.............nice work with the lightning, looks good. Loved your fancy moves on the guitar, very impressive.
Once again the ending got me..........I was feeling dissappointed at the end cos I couldn't see your face.......and there it was.........haha...........awesome.

Surfercook...........you got some cool effects happening..............nice job.

Your playing all looks good, and sounds good, wish I could play the guitar like that.

Goodluck, I will be voting for you's.....................barb

Thanks Lee & Barb ! ;)

Henky, Marc : I don't find my vid in the entries....
Did you write anything in the video response area?
May you please show me the exact link you sent them.
I emailed them but they don't answer.

You need to do 2 things:
1) Post your video as a video response on the French Guitar Contest promo page on youtube
2) Validate your entry by completing the contact form on the http://www.frenchguitarcontest.com/#!post-it! page

Did you do both?

Yeah, renaming is not a bad idea.
You also got to tag/label your video, maybe you forgot that?
Quote:
Rule 8:
You Need to tag Your video with: The French Guitar Contest
And it would be better to use this title form :
French Guitar Contest - YOUR NAME.
It's easier for people in youtube to find you in the contest.

Anyway as i understand it when something is wrong with your video they will send you an e-mail.

I haven't followed this much, but I put a "like" on all yer vids. Not sure what that does fer ya, plus this doesn't allow me to pick a winner out of the group (which I do have, but it's a secret), however it has been done.

Thanx for checkin in, Steve. I think the more likes someone gets, the better chance they have to win some special prize. I saw one guy w/over 70, so I can't even imagine winning this. But it's fun to see the likes anyways. I think I've asked just about every member that posted on this thread to jam the this kickin' track....so I guess I can't leave you out!! It's so cool actually seeing the other members perform, and quite satisfying to make a vid. This was my first HD vid linked to my audio in the DAW. I'm really pleased w/the results. It is alot of work though.

Don't be confused if you don't find my video.
Video and YT account has been deleted.
My entry is def not valid. It seems that they didn't appreciate my joke.
That's really not important. As I usually say, french people are totally stupid.

Good thing because I've been thinking for a long time now that I need to change everything about my life.
Maybe a new hobby? I'm fed up with jokes anyway, my life is a big joke. ;)

:? Sounds like you are cycling through one of those serious frustration phases, Guy. Hang in there, buddy. You are a really cool person to interact w/online. I'm sure I speak for most of the members that know you here and can say we all  you. I can't believe they wouldn't accept your entry. It's soooo cool! And it's evident alot of thought and work went into it

Well, I'm not gonna argue w/you there. I think you are one of the exceptions to that rule though.

I don't know you personally, so I can't coax you down from that statement, but I'm guessing it isn't. If I could play classical guitar 1/2 as good as you, I'd be feeling pretty fulfilled.

Did they really say your entry was not valid because of the joke at the end?
Wow, i guess french people really got no sense of humor whatsoever.
I'm glad you're different, keep it that way.
Don't be bitter about this incedent, you're a great musician and i enjoyed your video.
IMHO the ending gave it an extra entertaiment value and a child can see you're not joking about the contest or even yourself.
It was just genius cause you were sitting on the toilet all along but you only realize it at the very end.
You certainly made my day with your vid, it put a smile on my face and it stayed there all day long.

I understand what you're going through, it's a feeling of "**** them all".
But as i always say: even if you preform for one person and he likes it, it's not a waste of time.
And we all here at the ZoomForum enjoyed your video so it was definitely not wasted.
Forget those contest guys, we all know better and appreciate what you do.

I won't disagree, but I will say that they certainly don't have a monopoly on stupidity.

Too bad about the video being deleted. I guess I'll treasure the memory all the more? I feel like using the toilet paper emoticon, so... :tolietpaper: :tolietpaper: :tolietpaper: :tolietpaper:

There's a winkie at the end of that statement, that means you're not serious, right? Or does that mean something else in France?

Yeah, I've been trying to change everything about my life for the last 30 years or so. Good luck!

Heh! Me too. Get up at 6:30 and go to work every day. Unbelievable! Wasn't I supposed to be a rock star or a writer or something? I'm just hoping I can hold on for a few more years and retire, maybe then I can start being me.
