24/192 Music Downloads ...and why they make no sense

Excellent article, well worth a read. Bottom line: 192 is pointless; 24 is useful when mixing, but not much use in a final mix for the listener (versus 16 bit)

192 isn't pointless if you're doing sound design. Say I recorded a baby cooing and want to play it at half speed so it sounds like a zombie grunting. If I do that with a sample recorded at 44.1k, half speed makes it 22.05 S/s, which means we can barely represent 10kHz. :yes:

For listening I can't tell the difference beyond 24/48 or 24/44.1 really.
