This was at a coffee house in a suburb of Columbus a couple of weeks ago. The stage had been re-arranged or something, so there was really no room to stand and move around. There were two chairs and a stool, so Gloria got the stool, which made for an odd look with her in the middle like some kind of queen on her throne  :look: But it was ok. The sound is fairly good for a small digital camera.

I'm on the left with the ballcap.

Another one: Fleetwood Mac cover(Gold Dust Woman)

Nice! Sounds good. Would have been fun to be there to see and hear it IRL. Do you often do gigs like this?

Cool performance sound. I like the song, but don't know it.

Thanks for posting

At first glance that is what I thought it said as well, but then I put my glasses on :-)

I liked that. Nice work.

Gets the atmosphere over very well and the sound isn't that bad at all.

Nice one :)

I knew there was a musical coffee house somewhere near you Howard! Sounds good, so the acoustics must be ok?

This was fun to see.

Pete

PS Maybe next time you could get a cameraman to film from different angles/distances? Or set up two static cameras and make a visual 'mix'

Thanks for all the comments, guys. We play at that place at least once a month, but a lot of our gigs are in the more "mellow" bars in Columbus---not the crazy, loud bars but the ones where people go to actually listen to mostly original music...sort of like coffee houses with slightly drunk people instead of caffeine addicts.

I wish we could have found a way to stand while playing, but we were afraid we'd start moving around too much and slam into each other.

Gay......you know, that's how the subject heading looks me too. It must be some sort or optical illusion. Very odd.

Thanks for the idea, Pete.

I quite liked the seated arrangement topo, although the exalted Gloria could have been a little lower.

Perhaps take a little saw along to the next gig and shorten the stool legs on the sly; if the audience is slightly drunk, then nobody will notice

Pete

 Howard, that was great. You guys have a real marketable sound.

You may know of this site, but here is link to many open mics in Ohio:

http://openmikes.org/calendar/OH

Did you notice the light dancing to the music in front of the stage during "Superstitious..." song? That can't be bad.

The Fleetwood cover was well done too.

Nice performance.

My main concern is the song.

Thanks for that open mic link, Sean---didn't even know it existed. That's a great help.

We don't do too many open mics any more, but we like to occasionally; it's a perfect way to find out if new songs work and just play for new audiences...and I can tell you that this list looks up to date and accurate because all the ones listed for Columbus really DO have open mics. Too many of these kinds of compilations are waaaaayy out of date.

I emailed it to the other folks in our trio, and I can guarentee you that Gloria will email back and ask, "Do you seriously want to play an open mic 100 miles away? :noway: :D
