I think at the last podcast there was a mention of what the future would hold for IHR as a podcast....particularly in the light of Derek's bad news.

I for one would be delighted to see IHR continue and hear Derek and Dave continue doing what they do so well as long as they see fit or feel they have the WANT to do it. It's a valuable podcast and easily one, if not the best, home recording podcast on the planet.

It would be a shame to have content diluted/contracted and added as an "also ran" on a less important podcast.

I'm a relative newcomer to home recording so would be really pleased to see more beginner's sessions made as generic as possible..... so all of us PT, Cubase, Logic people can sing from the same hymn sheet...or strum from the same chordbook....I'd be really pleased to see some good explanations about how to mix.... what tools/tips you have - but again, from a beginners viewpoint. Perhaps reviews of the latest home recording resources (DVDs, CDs, books, websites), perhaps a regula Q&A section, Top 5 tips section - maybe even some "exercises" to do for those that want to practice their skills.

Just a few thoughts from across the Pond....

I thought I'd quickly write my cent or two before it's too late.

Thanks so much you two for the great podcasts over the past few years. You've well accompanied me on my jogs between (music) jobs out here in Germany.

Some of my favourite Topics on your show have been "Scoring" (for strings) and the numerous shootouts. Tips for the home studio composer/arranger might be a great niche to get into.

Best of luck and can't wait for the next podcast.

Cheers
