Hi to all out there, did anyone else spend ages on the internet yesterday trying in vain to get Glastonbury tickets? If anyone has any leads how to get hold of tickets still I'd be glad to hear.
Any way to get on to the more important stuff does anyone know if its possible to get smart media above 128MB, and if so would the PS04 recognise it?
My other question is to do with rhythm patterns. If I write a new pattern and save it into an empty bank then go off and back up the smart card on PC is the pattern saved. In other words if I write something else into that slot but then reload the original pattern from PC back to smart card and load it into the PS04 will the original pattern now occupy that space in the drum bank? Hope I've explained that ok
Finally I may have asked this one before but does anyone know of a way to convert rhythm files into midi files?

K-Pax

Smart Media does NOT go above 128, even if it did the PS04 could not read it.

Patterns are saved with projects. So if you create a really cool pattern for a project, it will NOT be available in the next project (unless you create the next project by copying the first). The more organized amongst us (not me) save a MASTER project including all their patches and patterns and then create all new projects by copying from the master. Hence if you create a pattern, save the project to the PC, then reload the same project it will occupy the same slot, but if you load another project or create a new one it will be gone.

I do not believe there is a way to convert PS04 rhythms to MIDI but I could be wrong.

I can get you tickets to Glastonbury but only on the week before or after the festival :D

Found this on the net (don't know the link):

Tickets for Glastonbury, the giant British music festival, sold out in 105 minutes after fans swamped the event's booking line and website, the organisers said Sunday.

Thanks for the advice and knowledge boys. Gone off the idea of Glastonbury now anyway, not sure I fancy sitting in a field of mud for 3 days, even if The Who are playing (which is only a rumour anyway). Got any British bands playing in fields on your side of the globe this summer?

K-Pax,

You can convert patterns and/or whole songs to midi files using

Jarvis Cocker is playing a few dates (one out Tony's way). The Police are playing in the U. S. as well.

Have you ever tried going to a small, local, festival? They can be more intimate and fun. No big names but a friendlier atmosphere.
