I just bought a used PS-04 on Ebay and will receive it next week, so I'm sure I will have some questions for the kind people in this forum - just a warning!

I am not new to digital recording as I have owned a Korg PXR4 and still have a Korg D1200. I wanted something portable to use on the run, on the deck or just quickly getting down some ideas.

Any initial words of wisdom or encouragement?

My personal advice is to take it slow.

Start by following the simple tutorial in the manual and recording one or two tracks, then add one skill at a time. If you try and do too much it all becomes too confusing.

Hello and welcome, Mtnguitarguy. We're always happy to welcome another into the fold.

Tony's advice is sound: you can't go wrong with getting acquainted witht the tutorial. We've covered just about any question you might have in this forum's previous threads. But don't hesitate to ask away if something comes up and chances are someone will jump in.

Looking forward to hearing some tunes from you!

Welcome !

Check the FAQ - there are some important things to know about the PS04:

1) Check if your unit has the 'noise bug'
2) Be careful with rechargeable batteries
3) Get some SM cards before it's to late (128 MB ones)

Mountain,

Good to see another one in here. Post a link to something you've recorded once you get the unit.

Thanks for the hearty welcome! It's a pleasure to find a friendly group to ease the pain of learning a new piece of equipment.

I'll be sure to post a recording, and will probably have a few questions that I can't find the answer to in the archives.

The PS04 should arrive in a day or two - can't wait!
