Zoom H4 specifications

The H4 is already in stock at B&H and I still can't find any specs for it.

That means noise, distortion, dynamic range, etc.

I am really interested in real specs, tested by someone. It's unlikely any of us will have the instruments to get this data.

Will I have to wait until some magazine do such tests. Is that so?

Has anyone actually seen any spec tests?

The link next to the "True stereo Imaging" paragraph shows a frequency response graph for the built in mics over a range of 30 to 20KHz. Not the noise & distortion specs you are looking for, but it's something.

We'll have to wait for real numbers to tell the story. Hopefully they won't take long to come by.

But I am also in a hurry to get a portable deck.

Perhaps I should cool down and use my Sony Hi-MD for now, at least until the "H4's dust" settles down and we know what we are getting ins this unit.
